Beautifully scribed leaf from a 13th century Friar's Bible.  48 lines of text per column.  Text written on fine vellum in dark brown ink in a remarkably small and fine script.  Both recto and verso contain 2 large initials in alternating red and blue.   Lovely red and blue penwork design originates from the initials and extends down the margins to form left and center borders.
