Stunning leaf from a 15th century French
(likely Paris) Book of Hours. 15 lines of text on each side written in
Latin with brown-black ink (and red rubric) in gothic script on
parchment. Recto contains an elaborate full panel border and verso
contains a border with ornate floral design of flowers, berries and
acanthus leaves in blue, red, green, and burnished gold. One
intricately designed 3-line initial “O” in blue and white on a gold
ground with floral infill. Framed in a lovely gold and black custom
frame matted under double-sided acid free UV protectorate plexiglass
