"Ecce Homo": Miniature of Christ from a 15th Century French Manuscript Thou canst enlighten me

Large leaf from a late 15th century
French Book of Hours on vellum. At the center of the text (verso) is a
miniature featuring Jesus in the Ecce Homo scene. Wounds are clearly
evident on Christ's’ chest and arms. Upon his head is the crown of
thorns. The figure wears an open robe painted in gold. He stands before
a blue background decorated with gold decoration. Behind him are the
words “Ecce Homo,” “Behold the man. ” According to the Gospel of John,
these are the words Pontius Pilate said of Jesus prior to his
crucifixion. Leaf contains 24 lines of text written in a dark
brown ink with red rubrics. Border surrounds three sides of the leaf
featuring red roses, pink thistles, red fruit, blue flowers, green
leaves, and blue & gold acanthus leaves. The text
includes a 2-line initial “O” painted in gold on a red background.
Recto contains 24 lines of text.
