Leaf from an early 16th century
Spanish liturgical manuscript on vellum. 9 lines of music & text
on each side written in black in with red rubrics in Latin. Lovely
foliate marginal border extending across three sides of recto includes
bright decoration with red, orange, green & gold flowers and
foliage on hairlines stems. 6 red and blue initials, some with green and
orange flourishes. Music on a 4-line red stave. Overall, a lovely leaf with an unusual foliate
border.
