Leaf from a 15th century French Psalter.
15 lines of text on each side written in a fine batarde hand in
brown-black ink with red rubrics on vellum. 10 single line initials in
alternating gold and red and blue. Large 5-line initial "D" in red
with floral design on gold background. Floral design extends from
both sides of initial creating a border of blue, red, and gold flowers.
Lovely black and red penwork extends from several initials. The
text is from psalm 26. A lovely leaf!
